  internet Origin of internet: ARPANET was created in 1969 and provided the foundation for what came to be known as the Internet . The term Internet became widely used to describe the concept of a worldwide network or connected networks in 1982. E-mail systems date back to the mid-1960s and predate ARPANET and the Internet. January 1, 1983 is considered the official birthday of the Internet . Prior to this, the various computer networks did not have a standard way to communicate with each other. A new communications protocol was established called Transfer Control Protocol/Internetwork Protocol (TCP/IP).   TV programs !!! What is television: Television (TV) is  a telecommunication medium for transmitting moving images and sound . Additionally, the term can refer to a physical television set rather than the medium of transmission. Video transition is  a post-production technique used in video editing or film to connect one shot to another .   Different types of transitions: Cut: A cut-in in video editing is  a technique that is used to shift the viewer's attention from a wider shot to a closer, more detailed view of a particular element within the scene . This could be a person, an object, or any other detail that the editor or director wants to emphasize. Dissolve: A dissolve transition is  a video editing technique that gradually shifts from one scene to the next .
