Editing transition

 Editing transition

What is editing tarnsition?

Video transition is a post-production technique used in video editing or film to connect one shot to another.

Different types of transitions:

Cut:

A cut-in in video editing is a technique that is used to shift the viewer's attention from a wider shot to a closer, more detailed view of a particular element within the scene. This could be a person, an object, or any other detail that the editor or director wants to emphasize.

Dissolve:

A dissolve transition is a video editing technique that gradually shifts from one scene to the next. It makes the first scene gradually disappear as the second image emerges, blending both scenes for a moment before the second one becomes visible.

Fade:

A fade in is an opening shot or transition technique used in film editing to ease viewers into new imagery, rather than using a sudden cut from scene to scene.

Iris:

The Iris transition replaces one image with another by either growing or shrinking a shape, with all the area crossed by that shape's border replaced by the second image.

Wipe:

a wipe is a type of film transition where one shot replaces another by travelling from one side of the frame to another or with a special shape.

Freeze :

A freeze frame is when a film suddenly freezes on a single, still frame. It is an editorial choice made for a variety of reasons. This is most commonly used for the very last shot of a movie as a way to capture a moment in time

Morphing:

Morphing is an animation technique that distorts and changes an object, shape, or subject into a different one. The result is a smooth transition that highlights a shape-shifting moment.
